To clean your rug, first take it outside and beat the entire surface vigorously with a stiff-bristled broom to dislodge deep-seated dirt and dust. Once the loose debris is removed, spot clean any remaining stains by blotting them with a mild cleaning solution made of mild soap and water, water and vinegar, or a combination of the three. Finally, use a clean cloth to blot the area dry and allow the spot to air dry completely, taking care to avoid harsh scrubbing which can damage the fibers.
